How does Titan work? What happens during the procedure?
Titan employs light energy because it provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating the deep dermis than other energy sources, such as radio frequency. Titan utilizes a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. This heating can cause immediate collagen contraction. During the procedure, the skin’s surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan hand piece. After the procedure, new collagen growth results in further tightening and the development of a more youthful, complexion with fewer lines, folds or looseness of the skin.

What skin types can be treated?
Because the Titan procedure heats the tissues under the skin’s surface, all skin types (I-VI) can be treated.

What areas respond the best to the Titan procedure?
Many areas have been successfully treated, yet we have found from experience the Titan procedure provides the best results on the face and neck areas.

How many treatments are required?
Although a single treatment can provide very good results, we recommend 2-4 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart to achieve optimal results depending on the skin’s laxness. Your technician or physician will advise you if the Titan procedure is an appropriate procedure to achieve the results you desired.

Is the Titan procedure painful?
With our unique technique, you may feel a brief heating sensation with each Titan pulse at the most. Therefore, the Titan procedure is comfortable without any topical anesthetic or pain medication. Treatments are usually scheduled for at least1 hour.

When will results be noticeable?
You may notice a slight immediate result. However, typically the results are gradual over a 3-6 month period of time as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.

What happens after the treatment? Are there any side effects?
Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness or mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours after the treatment.
